The New Look For TJDC - January 19, 2007

Well we worked our tails off and got the new site design done! Tell us
what you think about it in the guestbook when you get a chance. Most of the credit goes to Trey
himself for spending the past week working almost nonstop on the code
and image work (He completely redid the links page so check that out). Oh
and we cant leave out Gary Somers' he did some artwork too (the logo
at the top of the page is his work). This is one of the many of
updates coming to TJDC so be ready for more!

On another note there's a new product in the TJDC store! Wendell
Jewell's CD "Bridgbuilder" is under the CD category and its $4.99 and
you can preview the songs at http://www.myspace.com/wendelljewell, so
check that out too.

If you're in the Nashville area don't forget there are 2 shows this
month on the 23rd and 30th! Check out the dates at
http://www.treyjewell.com/calendar.html. Both shows are free
admission so come check them out!

Well that's what we've been doing here at TJDC more updates soon,

TJDC CREW

Busy as...Well - January 11, 2007

So we haven't done a news update since November... No we weren't abducted by aliens or stranded on a deserted island somewhere in the south pacific. We've just been doing so much that we can't get to everything. But hey! We're here now and this is "What’s up at TJDC"!

If you haven't yet purchased your own copy of the acoustic set limited first edition you're running out of time! We only have a handful left. Since its release in November it has received rave reviews. Trey would like to personally thank everyone who has supported him in this project. Without you, the fans, there would be no music. If you haven't gotten your acoustic set yet, don't worry the second edition will be out soon and on treyjewell.biz. T-shirts are running low too we have mediums and smalls OTHER SIZES ARE STILL AVAILABLE on back order!

So the Nashville CD has gone through the first mixing and Trey and the artist formerly known as ''dad'' are heading back to Nashville tomorrow afternoon to work with Tim and Chance on the mastering at Chance's new studio on Music Row. The CD release is now set for sometime in February but it’s still not set in stone. It will happen as soon as we have the CD's in our hands. Fifteen songs have been recorded for the CD and everyone who’s heard the board mixes agree there’s not one bad song on the list. Many have said it is best country album they have ever heard.

We have new a addition to the TJDC crew, fiddle guru Gary Somers! This guy has been playing fiddle since the age of 4 and on stage since the age of 5 he’s now 17 years old and man this kid can play! He’s all over the CD from Nashville and it’s looking like he’s going on tour with Trey this summer. Gary is good for other things too he’s a computer genius and together He and Trey are rebuilding TJDC from the ground up so be looking for some major changes to the site in the near future.

Yes I said the word “tour” in the last paragraph. We’re working with Glenn Zacek from Red Ridge Entertainment to put together a summer tour. No ideas where it may start yet but as soon as we know for sure the dates will be up on the site.

Well that's what's up! We'll try to be more frequent with the updates but don't hate us for not having enough hours in the day.

November News - November 22, 2006

OK so it's November and we've got a few things to write about. First
of if any of you have been to the store section you'll notice that a
couple of things have been, added a picture and a CD. Now we're still
working on getting the store up and running so please don't go driving
yourself crazy because you can't find the buy it button ;). We'll send
out another email when the store's up (and we're hoping to have it up
within the next 2 weeks). There is only one more of the old TJDC
T-shirts left, and it's available through Ebay right now or by going
to fireside music in Memphis, TN and picking it up yourself. Good
news though we just got another new batch of T-shirts in with a
slightly different design and they'll be up on the store as soon as
we get it up with the rest of the TJDC gear!

For those of you that haven't noticed there's a link on the homepage
now that says "CLICK HERE
FOR THE TREY JEWELL MUSIC PLAYER (be sure your pop up blockers are
turned off)". That is a link to Trey's Myspace Music Player please
use it! We're trying to stay near the top of the myspace charts; and
every time you play a song off of Trey's myspace it gets us just a
little bit higher! (Don't ask why we care about the myspace charts we
have a good reason for it and we'll reveal that reason at a later
date. *cough*tour*cough*)... Speaking of music the music on the clips
page is going to be down for a couple of days while we re-vamp it so
you're just gonna have to check out myspace aren't you! (Muahaha!
*ahem*)
Well that's all we've got for now til the next one...

TJDC CREW

Back In The Saddle Again - October 12, 2006

Well we’re two months away from the CD being a year in progress. As you know if you’ve been with us through the past year this project has had its ups and downs (the downs being more common). So far we’ve gone through the recording process a total of four times due to reasons beyond our control, and last week we thought we were starting over again! Wendell made a call to producer Tim Smith to see how things were going with the tracks for the All Roads project. He was shocked to find out that Tim’s computer had crashed completely, leaving us back at square one. Luckily for us Tim has a friend that happens to be very good with computers and the project was fully recovered. Tim had other good news for those of us lucky enough to be involved in the All Roads project; a major record label is showing major interest in Trey’s work and is holding on to a copy of “Blue Rider”. As for recording the rest of the CD Trey will be back in the studio this coming Tuesday. He’s still optimistic about a 2006 release.

In other news tour talk has finally started to become a big topic. Currently there are dates being planned for northern Tennessee this month, and Illinois and Maryland in November. The tour is only one of many side projects Trey is working on at the moment. He’s currently re-recording The Acoustic Set here in Memphis with producer/drummer Johnny Freidman, and music videos are still in the planning stages with Ray Scott and his recording crew.

We’re also revamping the site slowly but surely. There are a few videos in the photos & video section now, and we’re planning a few other things too! So check back in the next few months to see what’s new at Tj.com.

CD Update - August 21, 2006

Well we've been working our tails off for almost a year now, and three times we've gotten almost finished and then lost it all, but now (for the fourth time) we are within weeks of completing the "All Roads Lead To You" CD! Trey will be in Nashville for 2 more weeks finishing up the last few songs that are going on the CD then starts the mixing process. Then the packaging, and after all that we'll be ready to throw open the doors to the TreyJewell.com store and you'll be able to purchase your Trey Jewell CD via pay pal right here from the site. We're also working on getting the CD out into the stores so if you don't have pay pal dont worry (but it'll be a long wait to get it at the store so if you have a credit/debit card sign up for pay pal its completely safe and easy to use http://www.paypal.com). We should have a song list for the CD by the end of the month so be sure to check back at http://www.treyjewell.com/news.html it'll be up there as soon as we know for sure...
Trey plans to start work on his first music video when he gets back into Memphis so if you're in the memphis area keep a look out on here for information on being in the video...
Trey Jewell shows- Trey has been focusing mainly on the CD the past few months and has stopped playing the live shows. This is temporary and he has assured us that once he gets back to Memphis the shows will start up again, and has also hinted about a US tour in the works for 2007. Til the next one, thanks for checking in,

CD UPDATE - July 24, 2006

OK so Trey is back in Nashville, and from what we hear working way too early til way to late on the CD. The word is that "Blue Rider" is finished and will be up here on our little corner of the internet sometime in the next few days. "That's Why You Can't Go" is next on the agenda and we know that "Sometime After Midnight" (or a few minutes past twelve as some of us have been calling it) is in the works too. We've been hearing rumors about a few other songs not written by Trey that may be on the CD, "I'm A Very Dangerous Man" and "I Am Country" are two by a man called "Doc", and then there's "Down That Road Before" written by Jimmy Christie. We do not have a list of the full CD yet but we're working on getting it.
So more to come soon!

New Songs and New Directions - July 5, 2006

Like so many of Trey’s other songs, “Already Gone” is a heartache song with a very haunting melody that will stick with you through the day. We asked Trey a few questions like, where this song came from but He is not giving up any hints as to what (or more likely who) gave Him the inspiration for this one. We also asked if he planned on putting this on the upcoming CD. He replied, “We’re thinking about adding it onto the agenda, but we’re already working on quite a few other songs. What actually is or isn’t going to make it on the CD is still up in the air.” While talking to Trey we found out the title track for the CD has apparently changed. The CD will still be called “All Roads Lead To You”, but instead of the slow quiet song that has been on the site for a little under a year now the song will be fast paced and rocked out. “I wasn’t happy with the first ‘All Roads Lead To You’ it just wasn’t what I wanted to say with the title track. So we went in a different direction the new one fits the CD better, and I believe it’s the right choice seeing as I’ve caught the people that have heard it already singing the words to themselves at random.” In other TreyJewell.com news as of midnight (July 6, 2006) we are at 112,935 hits! Over the past few months TreyJewell.com has had worldwide exposure. We've been getting hits Australia, Japan, China, Mexico, France, as well as many other countries around Europe. As for the 100,000 hit party it’s been postponed until the CD release. So we’ve got two new songs and a little bit of information about the CD and the release party. More to come later!
TreyJewell.com

CD & The Musik Mafia - June 22, 2006

OK so here's what’s up. I'm gonna shorten the story because it’ll take this whole page to fit it all in if I don’t... Went to Nashville and met a publisher named Tim Smith. Tim is Chance's father. Chance is with the musik mafia ( http://www.musikmafia.com ) Tim likes my stuff so now we're working on a CD. The song in the music section "I'm Not That Guy" was written by Tim and he was nice enough to let me record it (It's going on the CD). We're working on a few other songs too and they're gonna be great! Should be back in Nashville to meet the mafia in the next month or so

Tour Dates and Stuff Like That - June 5, 2006

If you've checked the calendar you've seen that we've got quite a list going for the next two months. Well It's just the beginning. We're planning dates in Colorado, Alaska, and a few other places too. If you don't see a show near you don't be shy! Send an email to Wendell@treyjewell.com (that's the guy that deals with the booking) and we'll work on adding it into the tour schedule.

Ok moving on to the topic thats been talked about for almost a year now... The CD!
It's being mixed down right now and should be available here on the site and at the shows by the 30th. It's a four song CD that includes That Girl, Sometime After Midnight, That's Why You Can't Go, and Blue Rider. I know, I know "What about the other 6 songs?" They're coming when we finish the All Roads Lead To You CD. This CD is going to be $5.00 (plus shipping if you get it off the site) so the waiting for a Trey Jewell CD is almost over. T-shirts are SOLD OUT! We're working on getting more in and we're working on setting up a full online storefront so you'll be able to grab a shirt off here too!

Well That's pretty much what we've got now! Keep it country,
